As with every story, there's always the rest of the story. People look at RPG like, "Oh, overnight success.
Oh my goodness. They're impacting so many people." It all started from that one trip to Columbia, meeting all these amazing people, great.
So, the next step is to send the RPG Aloe to Columbia so that they can do their work. I took a picture of myself, put it in there, a picture of my driver's license, and a description.
I'm thinking, "This is not going to go well." And it was true. It didn't. I got to the border, and it was held up for two weeks and was eventually destroyed.
I guess the lesson in that way, as we're traveling around the world, is to find out how business is done.
We were eventually able to get that completed and get it through.
It was an amazing journey. The coffee's amazing. The people are amazing, but we didn't understand what happened at the border there.
Things like your product getting stolen don't matter. They make you stronger in your resolve. Because honestly, most people would've just quit. We just took it as a challenge and pressed through. And the result is we're still here.
We're thriving, and we've got better relationships with the people that we probably wouldn't have had if those challenges didn't come through.
And it absolutely, 100% drove the mission into our hearts, that nothing will stop us. And from this day forward, we knew this was something we needed to do. Create that ripple effect and change people's lives.
